    Ridiculous? (Prom)

How much are your prom tickets?

Last year ours were about $50 a piece, and they didnt even have food there...just some punch. This year they are $65 a ticket. I doubt they are going to have food. Are your guys' proms really expensive for nothing? I mean we have to get the tux and everything and ontop of that buy 2 tickets at $65, and split a limo. (my parents don't pay for prom)....now im broke, no more paintballing for a while.

THat sounds ridiculous to me too. THey should provide food for that much (not that you want to eat and dance, but you should have the option)

You could always split the limo with a couple other couples.

      back when....

ugh, sound so old when i say that but this was back in '94 i think prom tickets were about $110/couple, but we had food. it wasn't that great since i don't remember it. on top of that was limo rental which i think was split between 6 of us for like $50-75 each.

They were like 70-80 a piece at my school, I think.

During my 4 years in HS, prom tickets were $5/ticket for juniors and their dates, and free for seniors and their dates. And our prom was also very very nice, btw , so it's not like ticket price reflected the quality of the prom.

Tickets to prom my senior year were 20 bucks. All they had to eat were punch(which was gone in like 5 minutes) and there might have been some cookies. The worst part about it was that it was absolutely packed.

Ours last year was $20 a person, and (from what I've heard) was really nice, as it is every year. Keep in mind, the more fundraising you do over the 4 years you're there, the less the ticket's gonna cost, and the better it'll be. :)

I seem to think mine were $35 a pop, and it was actually pretty good. There was food and drinks, and decent music.

BTW, Sir Brass, where did you go to school? Salem or Glenvar?

It's been too long to remember how much tickets were to my prom. I'm not even sure if it cost anything.

All I really remember is Sarah, and that dress

Man I think ours were like $20 or 30. Seniors were $10 I think. And it was really place.

Ditto, did you guys not do any fundraising or get sponsors or anything like that?

10 bucks a pop, if you bought 2 it was 15 bucks. We got food too.

I didn't go to my prom, too boring anyway from what I heard. But mine was $50 I believe (CDN) it had a meal, drinks ,music and everything. I just took the money from the 'prom' fund and got myself a few weeks of ballin'. :)

mine was $40 a ticket. most of us were there long enough to get our picture taken so we could prove to our parents that we went. the vast majority of the night was spend doing other things at the airport hyatt. that was a fun night.
