AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.

You mean your adobe programs and just about nothing else
Oh wait! Stuff-it Expander too. Whew, couldn't have a viable Mac without that.
Now, this is used for photography, so it is important that it be fast. Why buy a 2nd rate computer and dump it 2-3 years down the line when you can buy a GREAT computer and keep it for 6-8(with upgrading)
6-8? Dream on.
That's not how the computer industry works AT ALL. Good luck with that pipe dream.
I never said that it would be used for PHOTOGRAPHY for 6-8, now did I. You just inferred it. It can however be used as a basic computer for that amount of time, despite the fact that faster computers will come out. It might get replaced in 4, but it will still be used afterwards. Do you throw out your computers immediately after you get a new one, or just keep it for a while. I mean, really, a 8-10 year old is not going to need a super fast computer to do their stuff....
A computer can still be used if it is properly maintained, no matter the fact that it will NOT be anywhere near top-of-the-line at that time.

HAHAHA Yea right! It will last 2 years max. Thats what I think. My dad and I build/upgrade 2-3 computers a year to keep up with the speeds.
You have to think, you cant really upgrade a Mac. It just doesnt work that way.
had mine for 4 months. Not out dated yet and it aint gnna be for some good time.
Also macs are quite easy to upgrade. You just have to know where to get the parts
