So kids with the LOTR series in the bag what movies are you all hyped about now?
and yes; its ok to be hyped about something that is not paintball related... after all thsi is the movies not "seal forward technology"
Ill start it off:
Hellboy: Yeah it was last week, but this says to me that even semi obscure series with less soccer-mom appeal can do well in the box office. And for us comic book geeks that is good.
Kill bill vol 2 [apr 16th release] The first one was a modern cinematic masterpeice... which btw is for sale on dvd on the 12th. Anyhow I was quite happy with the first half and been anticipating the end of it since the credits rolled on the first half.
Punisher [apr 16th release also] Im really hyped about this flic now. First of all it follows one of my favorite punisher story arcs of all time.(Linky
Van Helsing [May 7th] Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckensdale tromping 'round slaughtering cgi beasties... Oh wait sorry I was staring at kate beckensdale. So yeah I hope it dont flop, and if it does no loss. They can always fall back on the Xmen 3 and Underworld 2 projects that are mostlikley already in the wings.
Troy [may 14th] So yeah... to make up for the whole staring at kate beckensdale thing you can bring your girl to drool over brad pitt and orlando "gay elf" bloom and actually get your fix of action and death in. Oh and the female archers in the trailers are hawt also.
Shrek 2 [May 21st] Hey its Shrek how can it fail? better yet its "Shrek" + "meet the parents" all in one...
Day after Tommrow [may 28th] Well it seems that the makers of ID4 are at it again... they seem to wanna destroy as many american monuments in the most vilent manner as possible. Im game... here take my $7.50 mr movie guy
im gonna leave it there for now...
june is basicly harry friggin potter month with a pitch black sequel for good measure. Oh and a artsy skycaptain flic with the tasty Angelina Jolie.
July is a whole diffrent ball game with Spiderman 2 leading the way.
in the distant future all the coolness surrounding Aliens vs Predator...
