Thats just stupid, the easter bunny and santa claus we're just thought up to try and pull children away from the religous aspects of the holidays. I think they were meant to keep their intrest while they're young and wouldn't care about the real reason until they were old enough to understand. Me being an atheist however, its still all about days off from school, candy and presents lol.
