The scooter is one of the NVA's vehicles on the city maps, and you can drive it while having someone sit on the back and shoot. It's totally awesome to be playing "Ride of the Valkries" and drive into an enemy base (knowing that you're about to get wasted). I looked at it a tad closer today, and thought it looked like on of your vespa scooters. Here are some pictures. How awesome would it be to restore a scooter from nam? That should be your next project...

Cphil, is this one of your scooters?

No, it's Battlefield Vietnam. Except for the fact the EVERYBODY is american because of the gay m60/law combo, it's a really fun game. This map is Quang Tri, probably my favorite map. The city warfare is great, and the fact the im an avid bf 1942er makes me awesome to begin with at this game. Is anybody here in a clan? I'm in Synergy, we're ranked #6 I belive in TWL ladder. We're also high up in the 2v2 tank, 2v2 air, and 1v1 air. We're doing league and 5v5 infantry soon. That's all for 1942, we haven't even started on Vietnam yet

That is a rendition of a early to late 50's Vespa "Fenderlight" or sometimes called "Handle Bar" model. Made famous in the movie Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn (her first serious actress role and propelled her to stardom) and Gregory Peck. An exellent film by the way and a cult favorite of Scooterists. 1953 I think they made it.

And yes I do have Vespa's but not one of that model. That is a very old one and very prized model. I did attempt to buy one recently but lost out when it went for almost 4 thousand and was not even running. It was a 1956 and that was the year I was born so I was particularly interested in it. However was not going to pay 4 grand for it.Comment
