I know this was brought up in the past, but I still think it would be a good idea. I know I would do it. Just have a set amount of money you can paypal and then you can be a supporting member. Maybe have like a little icon under your and maybe a supporting members only section. That would be cool. Just a thought guys. I think its a great idea.

I think its a wonderful idea. Gives people who want to contribute to AO's upkeep a symbol to show, as well as aiding AGD/AO at no cost to them. -
I'd avoid the secret forum thing, personally. We don't need a class system, but supporting members are a good thing.

Another forum I've visited, www.n-sane.net, uses a "store" where after you have a certain amount of posts, you can buy different effects to add to your name... Perhaps buy the right to use an Avatar...

the store was closed to you until you got like 100 posts or something like that... I guess after that, you just paid $X amount for a certain effect/status... (i'm not sure if thats exactly how theirs worked, I didnt get past 100 posts there...)
The only reason I bring up a specific number of posts is so you dont have "supporting members" that join, post twice, then never come back.
Although, now that I think about it, who cares? If we got their money, what does it matter if they only post twice?
