Anyone else on here play golf?

Just wanted to know if anyone else here on AO plays golf and what kind of gear they have...I'm just starting and I picked up a set of clubs from Wilson...pretty cheap...your Wally World class of clubs...oh well...guess if i don't kill myself i can work up to a real set in a few years...just something else to get me out of the house..

I've played off and on since I was around 14. I still totally stink because I don't play very much. This summer though 3 of my friends who used to play are picking it up again, so we're going to play a bunch.

Its a great sport. But its as frustrating as anything else out there. Get ready

I play from time to time. Haven't been out for two years though so I'm sure I'm rusty. I've only got a starter kit w/some different clubs from Sam's Club. They are usually the brand of clubs carried in Kmart (cheapo's) but they work.

With my job, I have to play. I have a nice set of clubs. My Irons are Tommy Armour Titaniums and my woods are Calloway. To be honest though, the club isn't the difference maker. It is practice. Your Wilson's will be fine for now.

i play golf. like in the past 3 days, i have played 61 holes of golf trying to make the golf team. my best score out of 9 holes was a 50.

i have verdict golf clubs with two taylor made clubs(5 iron and a p.w.) one cleveland classic(56* w) and a dunlop goliath driver.

if there is one club you are going to have make it the goliath. $40 at wally world and i have been averaging over 210 yards a hit with it at the age of 15.

Yeah..i've got a driving range down the street from my work and another one not far from my house...I'll probably go take a few lessons so that I don't start out with bad habits..

I used to play a lot. I was on the highschool team all four years, usually shot about 80. Like the post above says, it is absolutely the most frustrating thing you will ever do. You really have to play the game joking around, i tried to get really good and played it seriously for a few years and got so pissed off that I basically quit. I've played like 6 times in the past 4 years.

I played for my high school team. I only got to play against another school once since someone higher than me called in sick. My school team was the largest in our area. We get to play when there is some one to play against.
