    Sarah's Surgery

    Well, some of you know, and some of you do not.

    Sarah is currently undergoing surgery to repair her left knee.

    She's scheduled for about 4 hours of surgery, and will likely have to stay overnight here in the hospital.

    Right now I'm in the lobby and will update whenever possible.

    It's a fairly easy elective surgery, and she should be back on her feet relatively soon.

    I know myself and most of you wish her a speedy recovery.

    I'll have her read this post as soon as she's able to.

    I've got to get back to sitting around and waiting now...

          Her knee has been dislocating for the past few months. They're going to adjust the position of her lower leg, and will need to reattach some torn tendons. There's a slim chance she'll be coming home tonight, but depending on how much fluid there is she may need to stay until the morning.

                                          yeah she should be a quick recovery.

                                          When I was 14 I blew my ACL in football. Had it reconstructed when I was 16 (after 6 DonJoy leg braces, they're like 1000 dollar leg braces used by athletes, my insurance company covered it). Took me over a year to rebuild my complete strength in my knee, and another 6 months for the "tendon" they grafted to become a ligamant. Luckily I had one of the top surgeons in the US under my insurance plan so I got lucky and have a very small scar (for the time) from it.

                                          best wishes for a speedy recovery... been there, done that so i sympathize.

                                              Sarah is now in recovery, still not awake yet. As soon as she is, I'll be going in there to see her.

                                              She's going to be here for about 24 hours still, so I'll keep you all posted.
