Well a couple of days ago we (my friend mikey and i, jim for those who dont know)
well i own 1/2 of a comic book store...we have a couple of college kids, 5 high school kids and a man older than me(40 i believe, hes manager)
we only have the original title of the store up...it says "COMICS" it large comic typed letters...we may keep it if we cant think of a name...
we are doing pretty good, we both put in 6.5 grand in...we only have to pay 4 grand each now and the store is ours..i now it only gets to 20 grand but it was mikes uncles store and he is already rolling in it so he me and a couple of friends who are buissness men in the area haggled and we settled on about 21 grand...
the best thing is...the nearest store is in new london, about a 35 minute drive..
i have also been working at my normal bookstore job as a manager since my mom always needs help with her store *the bookstore* and not only that, parents around me trust me, i hardly ever swear around children and adults and i set the standards for how your house should look (i rent it with a father and his teen son paul) and with this trust they ask me to watch their kids after school and keep em at my house until they get home...so with this all i have nearly gotten my original investment back...
in the highschool year book i wasnt most likely to succeed, joe was....joe is in jail now and an ex-druggie is doing the best....
only bad thing is i was going to get a k7 guitar...i settled for a 7620....just to pay the rest of the six and i still had enbough left over for more strings....
it may cut out of my schedule for a while..but ill be back on the feild in no time..
i will ask people wo were there if they took any pictures of the grand opening...i will post em...after i fight off the comic book geeks
