Army, we have never met but I want to thank you from one AO'er to another. I have a two year old son which owes his future to guys and gals like you and his grandfather. Thank you for your service to our country. Stay safe and I look forward to hearing about a speedy return home.

Ditto to that, my. Well, except for the kids (that I know of... ). Thanks for protecting all of stateside AOers. Oh, yeah...and the people who work at Smart Parts. Stay safe, we want you in one piece when you get home. God Bless!

Well, we just relieved the 82nd Airborne, and the 3/504 has a Pete Mackey. Any relation? I would say something, but they left for home last week!

          hey army,

just out of curiosity...how did the airforce drop a bomb in the swimming pool?

          SnYpER
Very accurately! They think it was a stray that wandered a couple hundred off course from the target Hangers they were busting up. Right in the deep-end too. Busted the concrete for 100m all around with the tremendous hydraulic force.

Heather, sadly, no sand can be sent via mail. But, if you can wait until I get home......

Heather, you don't realize how freakin' COOL that would be! We can recieve almost any size or weight of package/mail. You must declare on the outside what it is, and it's value.

That APO address will get it to me in about 1.5 weeks.

You're the best internet friend I ever had

              Love ya babe, Dave

You should have it in a few weeks

Oooooooo! The stein would be the most wonderful, Heather! And the most useful, despite there being no alcohol here (Budweiser near-beer is about it). The locals make a fermented and distilled evil, but I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot camel. No sense in going blind this young in life!

                    Shivors, thanks buddy.

Hey base buddy, where are you at? I live and work in the big metal hangar close to the tower/firestation. Just outside the airfield wire behind us is a DFAC. I fix the electronics and engines on the RQ-5A Hunter UAV. I'm on R&R in Qatar right now but I should be back tomorrow.

Cool! I'm at Camp Blue Devil (former 82nd hajji tents), just north of the new DFAC 1, south of the PX. I'm in tent 15. Can't wait to meet ya!

You guys watch it over there, you're a lot closer to the incoming than we are.

                              Do you need anything stateside?

I've spent time overseas too in a crap hole theater like Iraq. Haiti was the same way - bass-akwards and we did a lot of good. However, the people have to want change and have to stand up for it and, if necessary, be willing to die for it. Democracy and freedom are earned and re-earned, there is no other way. If freedom was merely given to them, the people will resort back to their old ways in all due time.... enough politics.

Do you need anything - pogey bait, skin mags, chew, smokes? A Victoria's Secret Catalog was good trading material in Saudi.... I'll send them out - just say the word.

Stay locked, cocked and ready to rock. Stay alert, stay alive, and get home safe.

omg! i guess that doesn't count as pr0n then. heck, might as well send an abercrombie catalog even. i've been paranoid about sending maxim over there in fear it would get confiscated.
