      if youre looking for something besides media player, update winamp, or download the latest version if you dont have winamp at all, it has a built in player for many different movie formats.

              alright nothings working........i just downloaded fear and loathing in las vegas and i wanna watch it.....anybody have any ideas?

                Like Will Wood said, bsplayer is what I use and really never have had any problems. WMP sucks big ones compered to BSPlayer and it handles just about every type of video file.

                            i believe it was posted already, go get the divx codecs from www.divx.com and install that. get the free one, there is a link to Basic I believe it's called.

                              Yea, BSplayer will not work on it's own. It is a player, you will still need all the codecs. I had to download DivX in order to get any use out of BSplayer. The DivX codec should allow you to play almost everything. Sometimes you will not be able to play something, and you will get an error.

                              If you really want to play that file, type the error into google and you should get a website that has a codec you can download. TRY to avoid doing this, downloading too many codecs screws things up. I did it before, and some of them don't agree with each other.
