    2 movies... Kill Bill vol.2 & Bubba Ho-Tep

    Hey,
I had a good movie weekend... I highly recommend BOTH these movies.

    1) Kill Bill vol.2: Its DRAMATICALLY different than the first movie. They put a lot more emphasis on the characters and dialogue. Its a GREAT GREAT movie. While there's not as much "action" as the first, the movies amazing dialogue and characters keep you entertained. Great stuff.

    2) Bubba Ho-Tep: While this is an older movie, its starting to pop up at your local arts style theatres. It was released in September I believe, but it was a limited run and its now making its rounds. It stars Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness, Evil Dead series) as an Aging "Elvis" in a retirement home where a Mummy comes to take the souls of the senior citizens. Great movie. The dialogue and voicework by Campbell is hilarious! You just have to see it!

I'm looking forward to both movies. More to Bubba Ho-Tep than KBv2, though. More talk, less rock? No Lucy Liu? Should still be good, though. Most of Tarantino's work is.

Yeah, Kill Bill v. 2 was definately good. Not as much action as the first but the dialogue between all the characters is definately well done. I think that if anyone else besides Tarantino tried to do this it would have failed. He's just so good at story telling that there's sometimes no need for lots of action to make an "action" movie interesting. Hopefully it's not true what he said about waiting 10 years to make the third one.

Oh yeah, did anyone see the trailer for Hero with Jet Lee. I guess it's been out for a couple years in Europe but was cut down to 90minutes and now it's being release here in June in it's full length. Looks awsome.

Man, I SOOO want to see Bubba Ho-Tep.. Kill Bill 2 will be easy enough to watch on DVD, but Bubba Ho-Tep, needs to be seen on the big screen, and I need to find somewhere that is showing it near me! Damn Canadian theaters!
