The AO Band

How awesome would it be if we had a band? Ok, here's how it would work. One person on AO who plays guitar will a song that he wrote with all the normal song stuff (intro, verse, chorus, bride, outro, ect) and he'll post the file. Another member who plays bass can write a part to it, and then record a bass file for it. A drummer can than take the two combined files and record his own drumming file. Then somebody who can sing can finish it off with their own lyrics, or, even better, everybody on AO can write one line and we'll put it into the song. Put all of the tracks together and we'll have our very own long distance band. I think it would be awesome if we did like, an AO theme song.

So, who would be interested? We could have several different groups and then have a battle of the bands if enough people are interested!

if we do the guitarist singing...no f'ing way man....i sound bad singing (welll i think so, my friends think i can sing)

i was thinking of this idea, but i thought that we could all do a cover song, like my sharona (dies from the laughter)

but yeah, let me restring my guitar and if i have time ill head over to my bros house...
ill have to stop near there to get some new fender slicks so time will tell

I figure that it can be any type of music as long as the guitarist can find other people that can play that style. Obviously, I can't do a lot of metal stuff because I don't have a double pedal. By the way, I play guitar, drums, and I sing occasionally in our band.

yeah...i probably wont play with my ibanez...(they dont the strings i want...well not enough anyway) its a seven string but ill have to sacrifice a string for easier play...
my epiphone goth will rip anyway

I'm game,but I think it may be a better option to start with a cover.This way each person can just play off the CD and not worry about TAB and timing.

I new composition might be quite tricky to coordinate over a message board,especially one track at a time.

Some one pick a song or a music style and I'll start us off.

Oh yeah.....where gonna need a name so let's get cracking on that too.
