What do you think of your teams draft picks

I'm disappointed with Cleveland, but I'm excited for OSU getting 13 (and counting) drafted.

'bout time Detroit didn't ROYALLY screw up the draft choices...

but time will tell how well the new players fit into the team... hopefully they'll rock... I'd love the Lions to be 500 at the end of the season this year...

Hey, the Chargers got Philip Rivers, a third rounder this year, a fifth rounder next year, and the Giants first rounder next year. If Rivers is only a little better than Brees, they made out like bandits!!

        Redskins

Good draft considering they didn't have a lot of picks

Sean Taylor - Need I say anything about this pick? Perfect. Taylor is gonna be stud.

Cooley - Not sure what to think but this guy should give the Skins a decent recieving TE.

They also drafted two LTs in the later rounds. i guess that means that Chris Samuels days are numbered....

uh yeah, They got Roy Williams. We played against him in high school. Not fun.

Here's a litte slice of our football coaches thoughts:

"Lemme think. Which one of our 5'11' corners am i going to have cover Roy? Well he does hold the state record for 100m in track, so maybe ill put our fastest guy on him. Hmmm so many variables."

            Titans:

Considering the teams current situation (cap-strapped and in dire need of depth) I think the trade w/ Houston was *Brillian*! (our 1st (#27) for their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & we swapped 5's).

Troupe's gonna be a stud, Starks scares me..Gonna be fun watching how these 13 picks pan out

              The Bills

I like Lee Evans at WR, but it could backfire. He's basically the most gifted athlete in the draft, but who knows if he will work out (busted his knee two years ago). He's still got the speed though. Still looking to replace Peerless Price....

J.P. Losman is apparently our best bet as our future QB. hopefully he will keep his mouth shut and learn under a, IMO, still better Bledsoe.... we shall see....

I say C+ only because they could either be BOOM'S or complete BUSTS...

They took a chance last year too.. (McGahee) Let's see if that one works out this year.....

I liked what the bears did. They addressed the D-Line and got a little help on offense, in addition to more defense.

What do you guys have against Travis Henry? Sure, he gets a little fumbleitis from time to time, but he's still a Pro Bowl back. Everyone up there blinded by the potential of McGahee?

I'm a die hard Buckeye, so was totally amped about OSU having 14 players drafted, which doesn't include you-know-who in the supposed upcoming supplemental draft. I was a bit suprised that Scott McMullen wasn't drafted, since mechanically, he was far ahead of Krenzel. I figured Scotty Mac was worth at least a seventh round pick.

All in all, I'm very happy to see Jenkins go to the Falcons and was impressed by the quality of Ohio State's 2004 class ... until I realized about 18 quality players are gone ... so I'm pessimistic about the upcoming college season.

It was a very good last hoorah for coach John Cooper, who always recruited as well or better than any other coach in the country.

                        The Bears

I really like what we did on the first day with the selection of Tommie Harris and the "tank". They'll both fit well with Lovie's new defensive scheme and maybe...just MAYBE...the D-line will actually have more sacks than the linebackers this year. BB, the wideout, is also a good addition as he adds the breakaway speed that we're lacking in our wideouts.

I also think we did a great job on the second day too with the pick up of Vasher (A projected 2nd rounded who dropped due to a bad workout in the combine) and Leon Joe who is a speed demon of a linebacker. I can't wait until Sept!

                        P.S.
I also liked to see Green Bay pick up two cornerbacks in the first and third rounds. Looks like McKenzie is as good as gone. And since I hate the Packers, all I gots to say to that is WooHoo!!!

                        P.P.S.
Anyone wanna take a bet to see if Kellen Winslow is actually in training camp on time? I hear he's already threatening to holdout unless Cleveland makes him one of the highest paid TE's in the league.

travis is a hell of a back, IF, he can hang on to the damned ball.

mcgahee has the potential of being in the same class as ricky williams/ahman green. he's got speed and power and can make the cut when needed.

Overall I'm a bit more optimistic on the Bills draft, I give it a B+.

Solid pick for a comlimentary WR to Moulds, and a phenominal QB prospect to learn under Drew.

My only concern is that the Bills don't run the same problem they had with Flutie/Johnson, and QB by commitee.

                            The Packers

well im not exactly sure. they already had a very well rounded team, i thought their defence espically the cb's were already good so im not sure why they took 2 cb's for their first two picks. but i think it really doesn't matter becuase they are going to be nasty any ways, and hopefully the rookies have seasons like nick barnet did

The Packers had a lot of hole to fill on defense, namely their DE position. They have little depth and they may be getting rid of DEs Jamal Reynolds and Joe Johnson after June 1st.

Anywhoo, any team that selects a punter on the first day of the draft (with a 3rd round draft choice no less) is bound to collapse a lot sooner than later (and this is from experience as the Bears drafted a punter in the 2nd round in 1995).
