hey i have a sleep button on my keyboard but what does it do when it is on standby. all it does is like turn off but i can still hear it a little bit. so can i just hit that instead of turning it off?

I guess it's like a power saver of some sort. It turns it almost all the way off, You can do that overnight if it takes awhile to turn on your computer. I know if i leave my computer on more than a day it will start to lag. You can put it on sleep to rest it, pretty much like a human. I would assume that's what it means.I knew not what I did but am now edumacated -
