Sweet! I just had my job buy me a Dual 1.8 G5. I am kinda wishing that I had them buy me a PB, but the G5 just kicks so much *** when it comes to batching files in Photoshop, as well as compiling huge high res. Quark documents. I DO have to get a PB also, but I am probably going to have to pay for it myself.

I am currently coming to you live from a dual 2 Ghz G5....

The Boss tried to talk me into the 17" powerbook but I thought it was just too big to lug around... So I 1 Gb'd the Ram instead.

Have you used OS X yet?

I used to be a Windoze fanboy. Never did I think I would get a Mac. Yet, something happened. Like 5 viruses that destroyed my laptop. Crippled it. So then I switched because of security. Photoshop and Strata 3d Pro are awesome on it. Same will Illustrator and InDesign. You'll love it!

                BTW, I have a Dual 2.0 G5. Macs Rule!

But, I still love fooling around in the 3d programs and other web design stuff. Sooo much fun and I try to apply parts of it to my photography. The lighting aspects really affect it a lot.

Mmmm. Good idea. Now, where's that number?

on the bag suggestion, i **HIGHLY** recommend BRENTHAVEN. I got one for my 15"... LOVE it. Now, we just got 5 more for work (3 15", 2 17"). They are GREAT bags and are VERY durable. Excellent protection. fit the size perfectly

                            Panther sounds right...

I already got a good bag. Nice leather one. And a little poratble baggable BJ color printer for it.

I have always had a lap top of some kind. But the one I am typing to you now is getting squirrely so they buying me a new one. This one has been a pretty decent Windows one though. Toshiba 15" 1.12 Ghz P3 with 500MB's of ram, pretty big HD and DVD and all. Needs an overhaul/clean up... but I might clean it up for something else.
