    No more Audi or Tahoe....

I think im gonna get a 1965 Mustang that comes with a matching jet ski. For.....$6000 The car has a $500 dent in the front left fender, new engine (30,000 miles on it), seat need reapolhstry(sp?), its got a cd player.

IF I end up getting it I'll take some pics.

I would prefer a 1968 GT390 fastback. But a 65 is still a good choice. Whats the engine code, and what engine does it have?

I dono, he said he took out the stock 289 and put in a 302 with 30,000 miles on it. What would I do to a muscle car engine to give it more HP?

You burn the mustang and buy yourself a real car
Without getting into the bottom end, headers, heads, cam, intake, carb. You realize the value goes down when it does'thave the original motor even if the new one is bigger.

Well it depends exactly how you mean the value goes down. For the die hard concourse restorer, yes the value would go down sufficiently. But if you have no intention of that and want to restomod the car, then a good body with whatever works on it can be very valuable. Keep in mind this only works on certain cars. If you restomoded a 69 or 70 Boss 429 ( less than 1300 were made) yes you are an idiot. That goes with shelby's or original GT's. Regular classic mustangs don't have that large of a value drop to consider substantial, especially if you add larger engines, exhaust, suspension, and tranny packages.

my guess the original engine was an a code before a k code if he swapped out a 289 but either way it was a good engine however the 302 should be fine too, and re-upholstering is harder than you may think to do it properly (im assuming you dont know how to since you cant even spell it ) ive seen alot of mustangs like that with the original engines without $500 dents and mint interiors for the same price so i would look around but your getting a nice deal either way
