Please take Carfax reports with a grain of salt. I looked up my own car, if which I am the second owner. It was all screwed up. I have had 3 accidents that should have shown up, only 2 did. And the registration dates were all wrong, it looked as if it had never been registered by me after I bought it. The whole report was fubar.
    My feedback is available here.

Somtimes they don't get accident reports, and registration data untill months or years after it has occurd. Ive heard plenty of stories of cars in junkyards comming up clean with carfax. With all the stories of incedents not reported, I have never heard of incedents falsly reported. The last registration was in the guys town, the registration before that was in the town next to him (where he bought the car from), the milage was correct for the car as well. If you look at the actuall numbers it would have to be some major screw up for it to be false.

I believe its a step above the Sport coupe base model, the RS didn't show up untill 87.
I don't know what else to say about them, they had either a 2.8L 2bbl, or a 305 4bbl. The 305 had 145-155hp depending on the year. The 2.8 was 102-135 depending on the year. There might be some minor differances in apearance between them and the other cars, if your interested in one, just look at the car and see if you like it.

I am sorry to hear this Pyro. But good thing you did check on it and found out early enough. Small price to pay for knowing before you got too far into it.

I will be on the lookout for a nice Ford for you...
