just got a new GPS for backpacking and fishing (Magellan Sportrak Map). I'd like to download topo maps when I go hiking. Any recommendations? I've heard Magellan MapSend Topo sucks...

I own 2 garmins but don't know jack about magellans but if you go to geocaching.com and go to the forums there is LOTS of info there. (plus learn about geocaching)

i have the exact same unit... i dont have the topo cd but i dropped the 109$ for the streets and destinations and that prog is WOW! its totaly worrth the money for it imagine every street in your city and even some major trails in woods. i want the topo too id imagine its good also dont let ppl who dont have the topo cd tell you other wise. and have you updated your unity through the magellan supprt page on their site?Comment
