    Chronicles of Riddick

Looks like an interesting movie. First nice looking sci-fi movie in a while that I don't already know the background to.

Anybody know if this is based off a short story or book? If so which one?

Its the sequel to Pitch Black.

Which, although not a terrible movie, was a fairly forgettable sci-fi movie.

Now that Vin is bigger though, this movie will probably do better.

Im not a huge Vin Diesel fan, but I love the fact he is willing to do sci-fi. Its good for the genre to get big stars involved.

I liked Pitch Black. Those creatures were wicked.

Link to a trailer or website?

          Thor- I concur!

I actually thought Pitch Black was pretty good, most of the effects were well done, with only a few lame ones...

I need to try and find that on DVD... its probably in the clearance rack...
