    Plain Xbox or Halo Ed.?

any reason, other than the than Halo, to pick the Halo Ed. Xbox over the regular one?

    Does it look cooler?

    Any different hardware?

nothing much more spiffy than the cool halo green color of the console and controler...

plus the fact it comes with the only game I like playing on Xbox atm.

It's exactly the same, except.......greener. There are a whole bunch on eBay.

As time goes on, microsoft keeps upgrading the xbox, so the newer the better usually.

My friend got the new one because his old one crapped out, and it was cheaper to buy new and trade the old one in then get it fixed. He told me that the Halo edition can read burned cds

Yes, the halo edition CAN read burned CD's

I bought one, and i love it, only downside i see, is its going to be hard to find a matching green controller (im picky bout those things)

I heard the next generation X-box is coming out this fall. Any truth to this rumor? Oh and its not going to have a hard drive.

There is practically a 0% chance that any next generation console will come out this year so you'll have to wait until at least next year for that since there is still development going on, expect a Fall 2005 release date. I don't necessarily believe any rumors that are floating around and the soonest you'll hear anything about the X-Box Next or anything next generation is E3 which is coming up real soon

I seriousally doubt that the XBox 2 or whatever wont have a hard drive. Thats like one of the trademarks.. or main selling points of xboxes..
I dunno though. But I doubt its going to be released this year.
