"Offical" Artistic Photography Thread

This first one is from a recent trip I took to the boundry waters with the Boy Scouts. It's just beautiful up there. My friend actually took this one and a whole lot more too. He's in brazil right now though so I cant get them from him.

So your one of the bajillion boy scouts I see when I go up there. Boundary Waters kick ***. You see/hear anything cool up there??? The last time I was there we a bull moose walked right in front of our campsite, we heard wolves howl one night, and last but not least, we saw a bald eagle catch a fish.

Here's a few pics of Chicago's new Millenium Park. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion (aka band shell) was designed by Frank Gehry who has won numerous architectural awards.

In the first pic, thats a winding bridge that goes over a main street, and ends right next to the bandshell.

This is the Crown Fountain, designed by Jaume Plensa, a Spanish sculptor. The video images change every few minutes, and at night, the glass sides of the fountain are lit with colored lights. Water comes down from the top of each 50' high fountain.

Jack, that photo is great. I love the color of the clouds and the dark contrast of the barn and and stuff.

Yup yup.
They do rule, I loved it up there.
We diddnt see too much up there, lots of beautiful scenery but nothing much in the way of animals. It is amazing out there though, I think we saw a bald eagle EVERY day we were out there. We found an eagles nest too, and got within like 10 feet of an eagle. I have more pictures, I just forgot about this thread.

I'm not sure if this classifies as artistic, but I thought that it was cool as hell. The flash caught the reflectors on the PFDs.

I live in Pittsburgh, so about 2 hours west of Altoona.
