Actually the other laptop is sitting right here....

But I wanted to post a picture I saw and was trying to remember how that darn thing was supposed to work! I was doing it a few weeks ago.

Arg... I gotta get used to this thing. Keyboard is a bit different too. But letters are backlit. So that cool.

Don't you just double click the image to bring up the dialog box?

IDK,I may be thinking of something else.

You can if you got a double mouse button set up. But there was another way with the single button system that one of the members told me a while back and thats the one I want for this Powerbook to use. worked good and I just forgot it.

Does it come up if you 'click and hold' on the image?

Nope but it could just be my settiings as of now. If I recall there was a certain other key you pushed...

I am finding lots of cool stuff just trying different things though! Just not the one I am particularly looking for.

                        phil,

ctrl + click makes it act as the right mouse button

apple + click, in Safari, makes it open the link in a new window

you know you can plug a two button mouse into the mac and it will use both buttons, right?

Yea Kev I knew I could plug two key mouse in. But I am wanting to use this trackpad.

I did then ctrl + click but then how do I look at the properties?

ctrl + click, then you should be able to go to "get info".

                            Hope that helps.

also to see properties of an icon just select it, and press "command + i" , that should bring it up
