    Cheap Pc dillemma-help

I can get a cheap pc through my school. I don't do any gaming. Just word processing, internet and photoshop.

It's like Avtech or something, 2 ghz Intel, 40g HDD, 256Ram, CD burner, keys and mouse 4 $450.

What should I look for? I'm gonna ask if it can be upgraded. Can I build one better cheaper?

It's supposedly new and has some sort of warranty.

I only have a couple hours till I have to order. It's between this or building myself one--how much would that cost?

Unless you have a lot of decent parts to start with, it's going to cost you more to build one. I say buy it, and save yourself some time and trouble.

and if you have to ask you probably should be building one (no offense)

tech phone support can be a life savor and you wont have that if you build your own pc.
