Anyone else see Lord of the Rings already?
I went to see Lord of the Rings last night with AHN, a fellow AOer.
For all you Tolkien freaks, the movie kicks ***.
The elven cities and the Mines of Moira were spectacluar. The only think I didn't care for was the costume design for 'the Dark Lord' Sauron. Don't get me wrong, he looked cool, I just thought the design of his armor left much to be desired. Just not to my tastes at least.
The Dark Riders (aka Nazgul) were much more cool lookin. As to the overall accuracy of the movie in following the book, I really couldn't say in an 'informed' way, as it's been several years since I read the various Tolkien books.
Well, I'll end my ramble...but as a final word, I'll say 'GO SEE IT!!'. Well...I guess that was a sentence and not just a word.
