New BMW'S :) or :(

What do you guys think about the new bmws. I personally love the new 7 series and also the 5 series. I like the old 3 series better for some reason. I still wished they would make the 8 series again. O well, the 645 ci and Z4's are very nice. My buddy says he likes the old 745 over the new ones. I think he is biased because his dad used to own one, until he totalled it. He thinks the eyebrows on the headlights are stupid. What do you guys think about the BMWS.

personally, i dont like the look of the new 5-series. i like the old style bmw a little better. the new 765 is amazing. 3-series still amazes me- such a good car for a pretty reasonable price. they also look cool.

I'm looking real hard at the z4, I just love the way it looks. I like the warranty they offer too. Free maintenence for 4 years.

I have heard nothing about the M2. I love the M5's and M3's though.

M3 convertable is probably my favorite BMW 2nd only to the BMW Alpina. Which is just pure hotness by its self. If i knew how to i would post a pic of the Alpina.

the M2 is still in concept stage, but is expected to come out in 2005-2006, along with the new 2-series and 3-series. also a new M5 is supposed to come out, with 500 bhp . i personally like the new 745's, they are very comfy, and fast as shizzle for such a big car. i got to like 80 on this small road right outside of my neighborhood, it was fun .

Personally I think the new BMW's suck. The designer Chris Bangle has ruined the classy look of bimmers. They no longer flow like a bimmer and they've lost all sexiness. The trunks on all of them are a joke. I can't bear to see what he'll do to the new 3-series. The man needs to be stopped. They look hideous. They almost look like Nissans. They just have no more class to them. The 7, 5, 6, and z4 are disgusting. And the interiors have lost the quality they once had. They are cheasy and plasticky inside now. It's almost like you're paying for a BMW but getting the quality of a Chrysler. Ugh, I'm just disgusted. I can't believe Bangle has been allowed to get as far as he has. He should have been fired when he came out with the z8. That was the beggining of BMW's losing their style. The z8 wasn't that bad looking, but it wasn't up to par with bimmers at the time. The only BMW's worth getting are "pre-Bangalized" ones. Basically anything before 2004. With this imbecile around BMW's will never be what they use to be. It's a shame, but it's the truth.
Oh, and whoever said the Alpina was awesome... what??? The z8 alpina was the worst year of the z8! It had the least horsepower and was only available in an automatic tranny!!! What a joke!!!

And the old 3 series dont resemble a honda at all? I think it is just keeping up with the times. Audi did the same thing. The new A4 are rounded and longer than the old ones. Also more and more people are wanted automatic transmittions for some reason. My guess is females (not trying to be sexiest). When i got my maxima my family wanted it to be an automatic just incase anything happened to my mom's car she could drive mine around. I dunno just my theory....prolly wrong, but o well.

I don't like the eyebrows on the headlights either. But they don't look that bad. I really like the M series.

its not that BMW is copying honda, it is that honda and all the other lesser car makers are copying companies like mercedes and BMW. besides, the bimmers needed a facelift, they had the same look for like 7 years, which was starting to get old. people were calling for a different and better car, and now thta they see what it looks like, they dont like it as much. also, how did you ever think that the interior looks plasticty?? i think that it looks better than any BMW interior before, especially the brushed wood trim. now some things like automatic window shades for an extra $750 is a bit pointless, but the whole car is becoming much easier to work, especially the iDrive, which i personally enjoy. yall can say what you want about the new BMW look, but i thikn everything looks much better.

I say the interior looks worse because of a lot of things. The wood is lower quality, the surfaces are plasticky and the overall layout of the interior resembles and American car... Blehk. Also, the BMW's did not need a facelift at all! If it aint broke, don't fix it! It wasn't broken! I just hate the fact that the sexiness and classic look of bimmers has been taken away. They look like children's toys now. The trunk, headlights and body lines have been ruined. Now if they came out with a new body style that didn't ruin those factors, then I'd be fine with it. But they did ruin them. And yes, many euro cars are going that way now. Audis are looking more rounded. Mercedes are losing their quality. It's the way of automotive market right now. Classic cars are losing their class. Who will stand up and end it??? Probably no one, the American consumer will most likely be complacent and accept the trash that's being fed to them. They also pay more for it. I'd personally like a black on beige 1995 BMW 850csi w/ tri-flow sport exhaust, dual air boxes, chipped, 18" rims, lowered/stiff suspension and a manual transmission. Now that'd be a kickass BMW. Sexy, exotic, fast and chock-full of quality.

now remember, we are talking about the 7 series, i never said the 8 series were bad, in fact, i think they look sweet as crud, especially after everything you said you would put on it. the only thing wrong with the 8-series is that they look too much like the pre new-style supras, with the slanting hood and small front bumper, along with some other similarities.
