Anyone ever see an Iridium flare?

That's not very portable and my roof doesn't open. I want a 14" Schmidt-Cassegrain scope.

It is indeed very portable. The scope breaks down into 2 main components, and moves easily with detatchable wheelbarrow handles.

This particular scope fits in the back of a Subaru wagon.

You ever pick up a 14"sct and try to put it on the mount? Two person job.

This one goes together in the dark, with one person, in less than 10 minutes.

It'll also blow away that 14 in terms of light grasp. Things you have to look at with averted vision in smaller scopes you look directly at in this one.

Plus.....

It's friggin GORGEOUS!

There is no substitute for aperture!

Do you make these at home facts?

I make them yes, I have a business doing this. I used to make them in my basement shop.

One time, I bui;t a 20 incher and couldn't get the assembled scope out the door.

So now I do all my manufacturing in my shop. No more door problems.

A couple questions on this. Are they really brief flashes, where if you blink you missed it?

Either way, thats a pretty cool pic FoL.

They can last a couple of seconds sometimes. It all depends on how long the angle of reflectance is lined up with you.
