    Graduation Present

Hello all, I am searching for a good graduation present for my sister, who is a senior in highschool this year. She wants a digital camera of her own, and what better place to come for information but the best forums in the world?
I know a bit about digital cameras, but I don't claim to be any kind of expert, so if anyone could post a list of what to look for (DPI and such) I would appreciate it. What I am really interested in is a digital camera like the regular manually adjusted film cameras. If they don't make anything like that, could someone recomend a good brand, or a good place to shop for/research digital cameras?
    Thanks a lot!

Hahaha! I didn't think about it being girl friendly
I doubt it would need to be, I usually learn the stuff in 15 minutes and teach it to everyone... about twice a month...
Thanks SIG! Keep the suggestion coming guys! If anyone knows of like a good digital photography forum or web site, please post it up!
      Thanks!

Olympus Stylish 300, I love it. Really, really simple to use, great pictures. It ran about 280 bucks I think, I'm sure you can find it for cheaper online. Great, easy to use camera. Also, it is pretty small, good for carrying around.

I have a kodak easyshare. It's not high grade professional quality or anyhting, but it does a nice job for the average person. The software is really cool too, you can order prints over the internet using the software. Another nice thing to throw in the package would be a 128MB memory card and a seperate card reader. The USB setup on the camera is WAY slow and the card reader is WAY fast. A 128MB card will take about 150 pictures.

another good thing to add, rechargeable AA batteries with charger. Well worth the investment.

Are you looking for affordable or something beastly? If you need something affordable do something listed above, if money isn't an issue go with a Nikon D70. http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php...roductNr=25214

I was mainly looking for a quality one around 400 dollars, and I think I found one. The Fujifilm FinePix S7000. It seems to be a very good camera, have one or know anything about them?
