    They are awsome.
You can also (obviously) use it as a normal mouse for other things, but it just kicks *** for drawing. Even if you don't know how to draw, it's fun and easy to use one. My freind has one, and I love it.

Wacom is (one of at least) the best out there, or so I hear. Get it, you'll be happy.

I have a 12x12. I love it! In Illustrator and Photoshop, it is perfect.

      Get one, but shop around.

Yeah, Wacom is the best. Enough said.

Check out www.wacom.com Lot's of resources, and tutorials to get you started using the 22(?) pressure sensitive tools in Photoshop. Although, Illustrator benefits the most.

Getting started with one is pretty awkward for about a week or two. Then, it's as simple as a pen and ink drawing. Like, right now I am restoring an old photograph. The pen beats the mouse, as I can adjust the path and size of my brushes.

Quick Question. Out of curiousity, has anyone here used the airbrush, and other pens, that Wacom sells. I always figured they were a waste of money. Anyone?

i dont know if the site is up anymore, but i used to hang around www.psionicdesign.com .. Those guys had some major talent. Their stuff got me into photoshop.

I was and still am looking around for a cheap wacom tablet. Id suggest looking into the Intuos2 6 X 8 tablet.. Even though its 299.99 it looks to be killer .

If you're going to get one, defintely get an intuous model. they're the pro version if you wanna call them that. the have more reciving points which maqy not seem like a big deal but trust me it is. I don't have one at home yet since i'm still saving for a new computer and one of the 12x18's.At school we have the 6x9's which are pretty good for anything. the small ones like the 4x5's or so are good for the money but to me i feel a bit restricted trying to actually paint with them but for texturing they're not too bad.

as far as the other brushes, i've never tried any of the othr brushes they offer since i just set up the brush properties in photoshop or painter anyways.

i have the 6 by 8 graphire 3 cause i got sick of mice with the ball underneath, and i don't like optical mice, wireless, or trackballs. it works great for gaming (i think anyways). but since i haven't played around with photoshop in a while i forget how nicely it works. my dad is a professional photographer and he has what i belive to be the 12 by 18 and that thing is awsome. big and kinda wierd if you use in flat, but if you lean it up against something at a small angle, but then it feels fine.

Intuos 9x12 here. I like it, but I have one complaint about the mouse, which keeps me using a Logitech MX500.

The orientation of the mouse is based on the tablet. However, in a normal mouse, the orientation will change when you rotate the mouse. I found I do that a lot, and the Tablet mouse didn't work for me. I loved the accurate tracking and wireless sans batteries tho. I put in a feature request with Wacom. Perhaps a future version of the product will support mouse based orientation.

                  Retro,

I already own an Intuos 12x12. I have for a long time. It was stated in my post.

I just asked a question about the brushes.
