Hey guys, i might be getting a 93 Katana for 1500, the body is in excellent shape as well as the motor. Clutch was just rebuilt and it has 23k miles on it. Back tire just replaced and over all in really good condition. Doesn't look like its ever been on the ground. Does this sound like a good deal? The guy who is selling it is going to teach me how to drive it and throw in a helmet.

Not that any of that matters considering it's going to be his first bike.Originally posted by punkncatBut just so you know , Katana's suck. They are really slow and don't handle(as)well. Suzuki makes some good bikes but that ain't one of em.
$1500 isn't bad if it's in good mechanical shape. Has the oil been changed? Are the valves in adjustment?
If the bike isn't sporting it's original paint scheme, be careful. Accident damage is easy to conceal with enough bondo and will usually become visible after the first 40 miles. Check the back/inside of the body work for cracks and bondo.Shoot it like you stole it!
