I don't wear a cup, restricts movement and after a long day it gets really itchy, and that gets you some weird looks trying to adjust it during the day.

I just wear my reffing towel tucked in hanging over my pants and the balls just kinda 'bounce' off it, plus its handy for calling out, just kinda hold it ontop of your head, people ca tell you are out alot easier than just sticking out your gun.

Cups do NOT restrict movement. If so, why do baseball players use them while running full speed around bases?

I have been playing for over 10 years. Been shot in the crotch, never hurt the boys more than any other hit.

Funny, tho, I suspect a baseball could do a lot more damage than a paintball, even if it's only 1/4 the speed. Maybe that's why baseball players wear a cup, even if it does restrict movement somewhat.

lesson #1 protect your gun at all costs, dropping it is a no no

Looks like he got the crap shot out of him[this doesnt happen in paintball if you get shot on a bunker,run thru or run around you wont get multiple hits, in the same spot, especially in the head or gogs] so I was told in a thread I made about gogs being safe.

out of pain and instinct hes dropping the gun to put his hands up to protect his face and head. Is he in the process of being hurt????????????

I can count at least five hits, look at gun arm hand head. Looks like 1 or 2 or more breaking behind his hand, that would be on his head and gogs.

Its not a fake picture. I believe he came around to bunker the guy kneeling, and he was getting lit up from another guy off-camera as the kneeling guy spun around and also shot.

If you are about to get bunkered, spinning around and shooting off 3 shots seems like it makes sense, he has no way of knowing the guy is already getting lit up by another teammate. I blame the guy getting shot for being that close. Whenever you move in really close to someone like that you risk taking some painful shots from a close distance, shots you were ABOUT to painfully inflict upon the guy shooting you.

Or maybe he didn't see the guy kneeling and just about crapped his pants because he thought he was moving through a clear area and all of a sudden two guys are shooting him.

Dropping your gun by accident isn't a crime.

Accidentaly dropping your marker is not a penalty. The rule is no seperation from equipment (as defined a Marker is one item of Equipment) by five feet. (at least NPPL and most other derived froms rules are like this)


... and so its not the same as the rule applied to sportsmanship violations for "Throwing" your marker. (defined as "equipment")

As a Referee you would judge the intent and see if he picked it back up and it stayed within five feet. Getting shot and accidentaly dropping it in the process and recovering it would be a no call for penalty.
