nice.. i liked how the geometry of the fisher fit my body -- the longer top tube made the stance a bit better. first thing I need to do is switch the seat and get some clip-in pedals.. but aside from that, i'm pretty happy with it for the riding i'm doing... Eventually I'll switch to disc brakes but i couldn't warrant the extra $200 bucks right now.

I have a Trek 4900.. nothing special at all. I like it though
I think the dealer that we bought our caravan at recently is supposed to send us a bike. I'm not quite sure what kind it is though.. I guess it was some kind of promotion..

i actually test rode that, too.. I liked the stance of the fisher a little better.. Did you know Fisher and Trek are the same company? I had no idea.

Trek owns Fisher, Klein, Bontrager, and Lemond. It's actually kinda depressing.

I ride a Specialized Stumpjumper Pro, which is very nice, but if I had my choice I would be riding something in steel or Ti - perhaps a Litespeed or an Independent Fabrications.

Yeah when I bought my 4900 a few years back, I dont really think I did any comparison shopping. I'm not sure why I chose it.. but I got it and I've been happy with it since then. I dont do much mountian biking though. Just the occasional trip with my buddies or the scout troop.
