Pop the space bar off, make sure there is no crap in there or broken bits.

Take the spring out of a ball-point pen, and stick it under there.

Replace space bar.

I've used this method to fix space bars in the past. It makes the space bar a TAD wobbly but I never had much of a problem. The reason for the spring is sometimes the clips that hold the little thing that returns the button break, or you can't get the return-thing back onto the button.
