                That boy is a hero!

However, the issue that is sticking in the back of my mind is, in the group was a 4,5,and 6 year old. Now I have 3 kids, 5,4, and 9 months, where were any of the parents, guardians or adults?????

They stated that the boy was under the muck for 5 to 20 minutes, I for one, never leave my kids out of my sight for a second because you never know what could happen, a child could drown in a bucket of water.

No one went outside to watch them???

It is really sad because if an adult had been watching them, that boy wouldn't be in critical condition in the hospital.

That boy could end up with brain damage from lack of oxygen to his brain, all because some adults didn't have the brains to watch them.

good point i was a lifeguard for 5 summers and I was amazed at how uncaring and stupid some parents behave. I would be very suprised if that kid comes out of this w/out some type of brain damage.

He will have serious brain dammage. The brain starts loosing cells after 5 min if I recall. This won't be the last we hear of this I bet, a very (multi-million) large case could be made out of this. Since it was a maintence guy, their practice must be bonded, and insured giving the boy's family access to quite a bit of funds.

Five feet of mud and the adults didnt jump in to find him in it - teh poked around with an "aluminum pipe" WTF? You could have walked in that stuff until you met resistance, reached down and pulled him up... hold on to the friggin aluminum pole if your concerned about falling...
