    Antivirus trouble

I run it (norton) and it finds like 20-50 at risk files that are adware. It says It reccomends that I delete them so I go ahead and click delete but every one says 'delete failed'.

    WTF won't it delete them?

And I have an unwanted toobar on my browser that I can't get rid of. I'm on dial up and things are getting slloooowwww....

First get and run one or two spyware programs like ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/)

Then start in safemode (hit F8 while booting pc) and run norton and the spyware programs again. It should be able to get them that way. Go through your add/remove program list and take out suspicious software, like toolbars and other programs you havent installed on purpose.

Also, you can get a handy prog called starter (http://members.lycos.co.uk/codestuff/) which will allow you too see every process and startup. Take out any suspicious programs in your startup, should help with pc speed.

Good luck, and get away from dial-up if you can!
