AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I traded one of my old Marilyn Manson CDs (...Smells Like Children) that was scratched to hell for a brand new Creed Cd one time. I have no clue why. I threw the creed cd away and I want my manson cd back. I got that cd when I was like 8...I remember sitting in my room for long periods of time just listening to it with the black lights on. Probobly one of the reasons I'm so screwed up these days.
If you don't mind I would like to post also my favorite worst movie.
Love and a bullet. I just watched the last 45 minutes or so.
What a piece of crap. Breakdancing gun fighting?
IT was hilarious in a sad and desparate sort of way.
Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.
well, a horrible CD experience that really stands out....THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE...
Metallica's "Load"...(cue Beethoven intro from "The Longest Day")
It was '96 I think, my freshman year in high school and several years since Metallica's "Black album", which had come out when I was like nine. I was more eager for the upcoming release of "Load" than probably any other CD because I was really into metal at the time.
I remember a guy in my class named "Tod", a total burnout with the perfect burnout loser name who sniffed paint thinner and reportedly threw hammers at squirrels in his back yard, came to class in one his dirty, tattered Metallica t-shirts and was almost on the verge of mental collapse. He could barely muster the strength to tell me how horrible "Load" was. Well, I bought it to see for myself an I was not prepared for the suck that came forth on nearly every track.
The biggest musical letdown that ever happened to me, the only track I can listen to without throwing up is "hero of the day". I have no problem with bands "evolving" but at what point along the process do they go from "evolving", to completely turning into another band...
I look at Metallica as a corporation now, like friggin' Disney. They just put out crap, but it does'nt matter as long as they can sell some slick merchandise for it.
Well it wasn't a cd but a cassette tape. Mind you I was in seventh grade and trying to impress a girl. I actually bought that Vanilla Ice album. I didn't know better and she was really good looking.
Oh well. My shame is public now let the beatings commence.
Fall Seven Times Stand Up Eight.
Whatever happened to natural selection? Survival of the fittest?
The kid who swallows to many marbles doesn't grow up to have kids of his own. Simple stuff. nature knows best! - George Carlin (Napalm and Silly Putty)
It actually wasn't bad....just the least good I've ever bought. Possibly because there were only 5 tracks, and only one of them is especially good. Ah well...can't complain for 5 bucks.
"I would like nothing more than to walk around
wearing a shirt with a giant arrow pointing
downwards, but I have this strange feeling
that most people would take it as some kind
of sexual suggestion rather than an attempt
to infer one's final destination."
I too would have to go with St. ANger by metallica, i didn't buy it (had a friend copy it) but i was very disappointed. The drums were crap in every song and the lyrics were very repitative.
