If you can catch your finger nail on the scratch then sorry you are sol. IF they are just minor surface scratches go to your local music store. 3M makes a pretty good system. It's like a milky white cremy fluid (okay, quit the snieckering back there). You wipe it on, let it dry for a few minuntes then wipe the residue off. It dries clear and sorta fills in the cracks.Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. This man speaks the truth. I've used toothpaste numerous times to fill in minor scratches.Originally posted by desslockwhite chalky dollar store brand toothpaste!! for real Ive fixed ps games dvds and movies. get a ilttle paste on your fingers wet it a little go from the center out in straight strokes rinse off the rest. plus leaves your cds/dvds smelling minty fresh!

I've used toothpaste to rub out that annoying AT&T logo from my cell phone.Comment

The name of one of the kit things is called "Disc Doctor" it isn't particularly cheap and it is meant to fill the scratches as described above. A lot of the other wheel things are just cleaners so be careful that you buy the correct thing. Personally I can't see how toothpaste is going to work as it is an abrasive not a filler
