1976 chevy chevette project car

me and one of my paintball buddies is building a MONSTER vette. we cut the top off of the chevette and built a roll cage for it. we pulled out the stock 4 cylinder engine and we are dropping a 350c.i. engine with a 350 turbo transmission. this is gonna be a chevette with an attitude. it is sitting on the stock rims and tires right now but we are cutting the fender wells and putting some 33x9.5 inch tires on it. its gonna be aslinger.pics to come soon (its raining right now)

well for onethe "car" was free and all the engine stuff was free except the rebuild kit for the engine so we r in it about 150 dollars. 150 dollars for days and days of fun is worth it. and lone wolf it will take alot of work but my father restores old cars as a hobby so we will have someone helping us on the tough stuff.

Man, I miss them good 'ole days. I had me a nice 85 Buick Regal. I managed to score a really nice Rover small block V8. I couldn't even begin to list all the crap we put on that engine. Dual carbs, n2o, exhaust sparkers. Mine was that first to use the chain timing belts and bearing rocker arms of the crew. I swear, that's my greatest memory of high school. Not the prom, not graduation. Just spending whole weekends in the auto shop working on our rides. I had to pay a mint to get my hands on the Jericho 4 box but it was worth it.

Tubbed the rear, chopped the roof and shaved the nose a bit.

Tossed on a few nice layers of midnight eggplant and some tint and we was cruzin.

I can't believe I had to sell her when I moved overseas.

I'm currently working on my ASE as a hobby and I'm having a hydraulic life put into the garage in a few months.

I wanna build me a rocker!

My buddy wanted a convertable on day so he took a sawzall to the roof of his chrysler station wagon. It sucks when it rained but it was great for shock value.

yea we were just gonna have a convertable but when we cut the top it was very unsturdy so we decided instead of bracing the hell outta it just put a swank rollcageon it..... ahh good times

Ive seen a chevette with a 350, infact there was one on ebay a while ago, the auction is still there, go look it up.

Awhile back on HotRod TV they put a 500ci Cadillac in a Chevette. Definately a scary ride.
Why are you using so tall of a tire? You will have to have atleast 4.30 gears to have any bottom end grunt.
