i was at the flea market (where they sell really cheap stuff) and i came along this guy who had a stand with a bunch of stuff that was totally different from eachother (stolen i think) but anyways... i saw a compressed air tank 3000 psi 48 cu in. and he was asking $10 for it. i asked 5 and we settled in the middle with 7. pretty cool.. eh?

I'd compare this to buying stolen Blood diamonds. You know, or at least suspect that they are stolen, yet still buy it anyhow.

You had better very carefully check that tank. Nicks, Scratches, whatever. Leaks are sometimes not easily seen or noticed.

Quite often people don't know the value of items they are selling. Maybe the bottle came to them in a box lot through an estate auction or possibly they had a son who played paintball before he moved away from home. If the item was stolen, the person probably would have had an understanding of its value and sold it for more. I say enjoy your inexpensive find.
