I hate my teeth... And Dentists in general...

    [rant]
For a few weeks now(mabey a month) my front let tooth hasn't been quite right, but I hate dentists so much(no offence to anyone who is a dentist) that I've been putting it off hoping it would go away. About a week and a half ago I started brushing more than I was at the time(not enough to begin with) and 3 or 4 days ago, I started flossing. I forgot if it started getting worse before or after I started flossing. Anyway, last night the gums above the tooth were hurting(kinda burning I suas building up pressure or something so I just took a sip of my drink(Seirra Mist I think) and it would go away.

Then this morning before bed, Ippose) off and on. when it was burning, it would go right away if I took a sip of some water(or whatever I was drinking) and held it around the tooth. Later that night I was eating some egg rolls and whenever some of the egg roll got near the front of the tooth it woiuld start hurting and almost feel like it w brushed my teeth and decided to try swishing with some hydrogen peroxide since i read somewhere it would help. Then when I woke up(and still now) my tooth feels similar to when I was eating the egg roll just not as bad and now i can feel it like throbbing sorta. I fI push it from the frint, it pain almost totally goes away but if i push from the back it hurts worst. Now that I think about it, I wonder if i bit down on something wrong or something and kinda kocked it forward a little...

Anyway, I know I need to go to the dentist, and I need to take alot better care of my teeth(and probobly cut back on the soda). But I'm dreading going back to the dentist, because 1, what he's going to tell me and 2, they charge absurd ammounts of money to take a dremel to your teeth and fill them in with super glue. I had a root canal about 2 years ago I suppose and you'd think that would teach me to do something better... but no, I'm just too damn stubborn I suppose or something.

I hate dose bums too! But we gotta deal with it.

As for cutting back on the soda, that's a very good idea as a report recently published showed a very strong relation between large amount of the bubbly stuff and esophageal cancer which if I am not mistaken is a very fatal version.

You guys dont know what bad is. I just lost 2 teeth. 1 completly fell apart except whats in my gums. The other 1 I lost most of and probably cant be saved. I got to wondering why my teeth are falling apart all of a sudden. The dentist tells me that the Dentine never formed in my teeth. Its gonna cost thousands to fix my teeth and I still will have problems all my life. Im gonna be one of those denture wearing mutha truckers.

About the pop (or soda depending on what you wanna call it) consumption, just stop drinking it completely for a while. I did that when I got serious about running track. I used to be addicted in a way to drinking orange crush. After an entire semester of not drinking any pop, I don't even have a desire for it anymore.

It'll make your teeth healthier, as well as your bones and physical energy/ability. It's tasty, but isn't too good for ya.

I couldve taken better care of my teeth too.

I had a root canal bout a year ago, and i have to say, it wasn't that bad.

I asked my dentist if it was ok to bring a cd player and he said it was cool so i did.

Then i had them give me the laughing gas, popped on some Foo Fighters, and almost fell asleep. As for the money part, can't help ya. With malpractice insurance these days its a wonder theres a medical profession left.

Anyway, if or when you do go, i HIGHLY recommend you take a cd player and some tunes.

I could never stop drinking soda completley... I would die. I think one of the reasons my teeth are bad is because we have a well so we don't have flouride in our water. And my dad had bad teeth too so it's probobly hereditary. Even when I was a kid, my baby teeth started rotting out from no flouride or something, I can't really remember.

My dentist has tv's in the rooms so there's no need for a cd player. I just can't watch anything funny 'cause I have a tendency to laugh at all the wrong times, then I can't stop because I knwo I need to. That or I'll think of just biting down really hard when he has his finger in my mouth or think of something sunny from like a month ago and start cracking up.

And I know I don't have it nearley as bad as some people, my godmother had to have all of her teeth(or was it all the top teeth, I forgot) cut out about a year ago.

hmm, I just noticed that if I push where the lip meets the gums over the tooth, the tooth hurts worse... Guess I should stop pushing there.

Now the tooth dosn't hurt so much(still sensitive) but right over/infront of it there's a spot about the size of a quarter that feel's swollen. It's kinda odd, anyone know what if could be?

I guess I shoud just get it over with and make a dentist appointment...

Okay, so tuesday I went to the dentist and he confirned that it was an abscess, perscribed me penacillin and made a root canal appointment for tomorrow. That's all good. Well, just about an hour ago, I'm not even sure how I noticed because there is no pain buy there is decay on both of my upper back molars. perticularly on the right side I don't know how this happens because it seems liek when I'm brushing my back molars and my front teeth are what get brushed the most. Yes, I'll admit that I hvn't been brushing thm as much as I should but I know people that almost never brush their teeth and never have teeth problems(well, they don't go to the dentist to get checked but they never complain).if I need 2 more root canals(I don't see why they would since there isn't any pain but they did it anyway on one of my other molars when there was a hole in it), I'm going to be thoroughly pissed off. I suppose I could just get them extracted sonce they're in the very back. I chould be like that one guy I saw on tv one time that does all his dental work with a dremel and made fake teeth out of concrete(I think it was concrete). I dunno, I guess I'm just mad at myself and a bit sad because my dad is having to pay all this money for my stupid mistakes.

Ok, I just needed to vent a little I suppose and this is the only place that I really can. I could go to PBN but thay'd just call me stupid and say I should go kill myself.
