    Bye bye Lakers!

    And the implosion begins!!!!

Phil Jackson quits. Shaq wants a trade. Kobe opts out!

Maybe we should call this "When Crybabies and spoiled brats don't win!"

    Let the mayhem commence!

Happens all the time in sports. Good players play for a coach and didn't get along most of the year. Kobe is most likely gonna stay. Not many teams will take a chance on the guy if he has a chance of being in prison longer then his contract. Shaq is making a decision of his own. Phil Jackson was a good coach. It'll be tough to be the dominating team without him on the bench. Karl Malone is probabaly gonna retire, Payton is looking elsewhere as well. This team was actually expected to win, didn't, and is now scattering in the wind. It has been speculated since the playoffs began that this would be the last year for this particular team and many of the big stars would leave.

From what I heard on the radio today at lunch, Rudy Tomjonavich (sp?) is the most probable replacement for jackson and that shaq would end up staying if Rudy T became coach.

I have no doubt that Kobe's gone though.... Possibly to Utah in what would be a record long signing of 15 -25 years.

It's actually Colorado and it's 15-life if convicted.

I heard something similar. I also heard that Shaq and MacGrady (Orlando player) were looking to go as a pair to Dallas under Cuban. We will have to wait and see.

Jackson's worthless. Anyone who can coach here for 5(?) years and still not teach these guys to defend the damn pick-and-roll doesn't deserve to coach. As for the Triangle Offense, can I make a fancy name for "give the ball to the best player in the world, and if he doesn't have a shot he'll pass it to someone who does", and be famous too?

Shaq's a fatass. the worst part is, when he changes teams he'll most likely drop 40 pounds and become the great player he acts like he is, despite all the *****ing and moaning he did here about having to lose 40 pounds and not being the great player he always claimed he is. Anyone who would even hint he didn't play hard because of contract negotiations should be handed his walking papers, ditto for someone who says he won't play defense unless he gets the ball more on offense.

Kobe's wild at times, and a hothead, but has great potential. Of the three, I'd say work real hard to keep Kobe, and keep shaq if you can cut his pay, and put a fitness clause in his contract.

and for god's sake, get some decent players with some life left in their knees to be the role-players.

I doubt shaq is going anywhere. He is still under contract with the lakers and not many other teams are gonna be able to throw together a deal for him.

I did hear about shaq and mcgrady wanting to play with eachother in dallas. I have no idea where kobe will end up though. I think payton will leave too. He won't want to stick around and play with fisher and that dumb*** rick fox after all the other guys leave.

Lakers are going to suck so bad next year, and I'm so happy! I hate all the cockey so-cal laker fans, they're so stupid.
