ACT Scores are in and.....

im not really sure how k state got ranked number 1 as the best public institution, but thats what they told us at orientation.

I dunno about you, but if I got a 36 theres no way I'd ever forget it, thats why I'm alittle unsure if you really did get a 36 but if you did, more power to ya.

;-) What I DO remember is people not believing me because I got the highest score on the test. What I'm unsure of was the actual number...

but keep in mind:

1: I'm 30. That test was a LONG time ago. My SAT and ACT scores are really nothing more then trivia at this point.

2: NYC was an SAT town. I only took the ACT because one of my teachers made it a requirement for the class. It was only recently that I started to find out just how many people took it very seriously.

3: I work as a Network Admin, and have to keep up on my certifications. I've taken scores of "really important" tests in the past 10 years, and once I pass or "do well", I simply don't worry about them any more.

And phil, i appreciate your compliments on my score. Im dissapointed that i didnt score higher, as i know i am better than what that score says.

In overall graduation rate some of those scores mean nothing. Its what you can do with it. Many a high score can do book work well but cannot do simple problem solving tasks and and hands on tasks. At some point some of them even flunk out. Or cannot preform at a real job. So don't let that bother you at all. If you have some common sense and a little bit of ability to research and learn and then put that to use your much better off. Many a student with low SAT scores can accell at College but never get in as well. Anything 1100 or over is great.

Every school is number one at something. A few years back and for some odd reason Clemson was rated number two "party school" according to some survey. We have no idea why because this place is NOT much for a party place. We figure a large number of students must have banded together just to vote for us to try and win it. Not realistic but funny.

And then we were Time Magazines number one Public school in...2000... I think. So we claim that for as long as it works. We all in the business of students. We all compete for the best ones. So we tell you what we got to build ourselves up. Helps to have something like the Time magazine award to use. I am certian K state does indeed rank number one in some important thing. Perhaps won Time Magazines another year? They not lying to you. But they might be accentuating the positives to thier advantage. And who can blame them? Everyone does it. Some have less to claim than that!

We do now and will be the leaders in Racing Engineering. And have a pretty strong Engineering program. As well as Biotechnology.

my teachers in illinois told me that the national or state average is 18, but i cant remember if that was illinois average. most people are not as smart as you guys, but 18 is pretty low.
btw i got a 24 and im happy with that, no studying or anything
