West Nile Virus=Brain swells and you die

Well, alot of people contract west nile a year. It usually only effects young children and the elderly. NJ was one of teh first states to pick up west nile. They found a crow a few doors down at my friends house that tested positive for west nile.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that a humans chance of dying of West Nile is very low. I thought the only times it would be high is in children, pets, etc.

yeah I heard that also... Az... now with west nile. Only thing is in the last 6 years in phoenix I have yet to see 2 mosquitos at the same time. Oh and west nile dont scare me, My Grandfather had it last year and its nothing to damn terrible.

Only like 100 humans a year contract west nile and very few die from it, yet everyone goes CRAZY about it. Think of the odds of getting it....yeah low. I play baseball at this one field surrounded on 3 sides by a forest and I always use, Off deep woods with deet. Works amazing. The mosquitos are nuts, like clouds of them, keeps them away easily.
