    Computer Drawing Tablets?

Alright guys, I've come to the conclusion that I really want a drawing Tablet. You know the little Pads You can Draw on and it draws it on the computer.

I'm hoping some of you out here know some stuff about them, I'm looking for one to actually draw some decent pictures, (cartoon drawings) I can spend about 50 dollars on one, I just wanted AOs opinion on this one

Wacom is really the only way to go for drawing tablets. That said, $50 MIGHT get you a used on on ebay.

I've never understood how those things can be used...if you look down and your just drawing on a blank pad, how can you draw properly?

I used to use one for CAD back when the newest auto-CAD was the vers. 12 release... so it's been a while. It worked a little different then this and the application was WAY different but it made blue prints a breeze. A friend of mine here uses a wacom I think. He draws his stuff then lays it on the tablet and more or less traces it. Really sweet idea. I think heather frymark might use on of these... or should I say... if ANYONE here has one she pry does.

I use the 6x8 waccoms at school and they're nice. They're a little wierd to get used to at first but once you do it's a breeze to paint.

                  I own a Wacom Intuos 2 12x12.

Amazing, simply put. It takes a little getting used to, but then it becomes second nature. You don't even look down.

Wacom provides interactive pen displays, pen tablets, styli and apps to equip and inspire everyone to make the world a more creative place.

Nope I don't have one I wish I did, but I don't. I draw by hand and the I scan into my computer, I use this method for everything, from making grips to cartoon drawings. If you have photoshop you can do anything.
