I'm going to hunt wabbits on Friday. I shoot deer with a Mauser Model 98,30-06,topped with a Tasco 3x9x40, squirrels and rabbits and whatever else comes along with my Marlin model 60, .22, and ducks, pheasants, grouse, rabbits, and whatever else comes along with a Stevens pump 12 gauge. I also shoot rabbits and deer with a Bear Compound bow and Easton xx78's.

I shoot quite a bit... ever since I was 6 I got a new firearm for my bithday.
6 crossman BB gun still got it
7 22 bolt action forgot the make
      8 410 shot gun
      9 Benjarman sheridan bb gun
      10 20 gague shot gun
11 Tompson contender with 45 cal barrel
12 Semi auto 22 rifle hand me down
      13 12 gague shotgun
      14 Springfield 30-06 Carbine (Sweet!)
      15 30-30 nice but I love my 30-06

Since then I had to buy my own stuff
      Kimber classic custom
      Mini 14 preban
      mossberg 12 gague shotgun
      Walther p99 for the wife

Still after all that my worst squrriel story is when my g-pa and I were roofing a summer house we were being pesstered by a red squrriel. During our lunch that bastard tried to run off with our food. A quick burst from the pnumatic nail gun solved that (there is a reason we keep the saftey tied back on roofing jobs)

the .45LC is amazing too.. it might even beat the "famous" .45.

this is a stupid question, but has anyone put paintball grips on a colt 1911? i have, the KAPP panels, and they look cool, lol

Uh, ronron? Pball grips are made by the same folks who make grips for the firearms industry. Naturally the grips will fit any .45 style frame...

I do agree with you about the .45LC (did you know there never was a .45 short Colt!), it was the magnum of its day and is still a most versitile round.

Kimber Custom Classic, or a Springfield Armory 1911A IMO is the only way to go with a fullsize .45 -thanks to Gov Davis of CA for banning them. Makes mine worth a buttload more money...

udtseal, You can't go wrong with a USP in 45acp. I've had mine for 4 years. It is THE most reliable pistol I have ever owned (accurate, too) You just have to get used to the way it looks, though

I still prefer my 1911's though

The 45 Long Colt was named as such because of the 45 Schofield (sp?), which was short, and also a military issue caliber of the late 1800's. The name just stuck.

I bought a "used" but unfired (well, not any more!) Beretta 92FS with Trijicon sights today.

you guys are sooooooooo lucky that you can have a choice over what semi auto pistol you want. Here in mass, theres a "list" of pistols that you can buy outta state.. and that list pretty much says "You can only buy 'these' guns, and they cant be made bfore 1994" and all that good stuff. So pretty much.. a semi auto pistol is outta the line.. thatnk god for the WWII era 1911 that works like a charm, the the steel P-38.. all is fun

I love my HK-91 and my sks is fun to shoot and cheap. I bought my first pistol this fall, a little .380. Its not as impressive as some other handguns, but it fits in my pocket.

I love to shoot almost anything. I find real gun shooting to be cheaper than paintball myself.I am currently in the market for a Browning A bolt in 270.

I do have a Tarus target .357 Magnum in SS, Ruger Mark II Target, Remington 870 pump 12 gauge with a Modified barrel and a dear slug barrel, an old Winchester Model 12 in 12 gauge full choke (made in 1918). a Fox-Stevens 16 guage double, A Ward-Hercules (from the 40's).410 double, a very old exterior hammer double in 12 guage (maker not known) a old Sears (late 60's forget who made it for them) single shot bolt action 22 cal. Rifle and a Ithica single shot break open 20 guage.

The Ruger Mark II is in perfect new conditon and is currently for sale. Two clips and case with lock. And I do mean PERFECT. You could not tell its been used at all. Only fired it 20-30 times to break it in.
