I did about 150 in my stock 5.0 on the 55 freeway here in California. I flew past a cop that I didnt see. The freeway ended in newport beach. While I was stopped at the light all of a sudden a cop came flyin up to my bumper with his lights on. I pulled over and just then a helicopter with search light flew right over us. I assume it was for me. The cop said he had been tryin to catch up to me for quite a few miles but never saw me until he got to the light. He thot I was tryin to evade him. I simply told him that I never saw him and if I was tryin to evade him I probably would have been able to. The cop beleived me and gave me 6 drunk tests which I passed and then the rookie cop with him made him give me the prethalizer. I Barely passed that and was given a ticket for going 95+. I was very lucky and have grown up a lot since this incident. I could have easily been taken to jail. All true.

you really dont know anything about motors do you?
the motor in the Z06 is a 350 chevy motor, yes a 350 cu small block chevy motor.
it will definatally fit in a camaro.

You realize they don't. I have talked to many people who do maintence on police cars, people who do maintence on them, and those who sell them, and guess what, you could walk into the dealership and get almost the exact same car. Occasionally they will have a bigger batter or alternator for all those lights, somtimes they have better cooling stuff because they are running more than the average car. Other than that there is nothing special about them.

And there is no reason in hell they would put a Z06 motor in a camaro. Why wouldn't they just buy a vette it would probably save them some money over buying a brand new camaro, a new Z06 motor, and paying the mechanics to change it.
Is the Z06 350? I'm pretty sure the LS1 (or was it the LT1) is 348 and they may share the same block.

Ha ha, this guys a real piece of work.

I'll bet if he put some hot rod stickers on his car, it would go even faster.

It is so hard to talk your way out of a speeding ticket, its best to just shut up and hope he is having a good day and will let you off with a warning. Strike up a friendly conversation and find a bit of common ground. He/she will be more apt to let you off if there is a common connection. I have gotten off tickets by being friendly. I have also paid tickets that I knew I could have beaten in court. The radar isn't always right depending on the circumstances and you can challenge it, if you know how to argue it. A little research is all that is needed.

I used to have a suped up high horsepower camaro. It had a top speed of 135mph. There is no way I could out run a cop car. It is not possible in our current society of radio and police networks. Besides, it takes a hugh difference in horsepower to get even a couple of miles per hour faster once you reach the higher speeds.

Radar will reflect off almost any surface. The stealth plane has a combination of nonrelfective coating and odd angles to break up the reflection. I doubt his car had that. LOL. I deal with microwave refecting devices. They will pick up the motion of my hand at quite a distance depending on the sensitivity I set.

"Wait for his girlfriend to finish"? Gimme a break. That would just add a new charge of indecent behavior.

The best I ever saw anyone get out of a ticket was a female friend of mine, Lori. It was at night and she was driving my cousins souped up camaro (1981 350-4 spd). We met a police cruiser in town limits. We were doing about 50mph in a 30mph zone so the cop put his lights on and proceeded to turn around. She guns the car to get away. Then we come to an abrupt slowdown for a 90 degree sliding turn down a sidestreet and then quickly into a driveway. All this is before the police car gets turned around. The guys are thinking, "OH crap! We're in trouble now." The police car pulls into the driveway behind us. The cop gets out, strolls up the our car, and knocks on the window.

Lori rolls down the window and says "Hi officer, what can I do for you today?" (In a ditzy blond type of voice)
Cop: "I think you were speeding a bit back there."
Lori: "Really, It won't happen again. I'm really sorry."
Cop: "Can I see your licence?"
Lori: "Here it is. I'm really sorry. I promise to never speed again."
Lori: "I'm so ashamed. Please don't give me a ticket."
Lori: "It's not my car. I don't know what to do. I promise to take it easy from now on."
Lori: "Please, please...I know your a nice guy.
Cop: "I'm gonna let you off with a warning. Take it easy from now on."

We couldn't believe it. It was interesting to say the least. I certainly never would have attempted an evasion. I know I would have gotten charged.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
