And they didnt even destrypo very much of our fleet at pearl harbor, we were able to fix and bring to the surface all but like 1 or 2 ships that had been sunk. These ships were brought back into action very soon after the attacks.

Plus, the ships they sunk were WWI-era battleships. While we took serious losses, in the grand scheme of things it was inconsequential.

I have a friend who lived in Japan, and he said its a completely different culture. Trying to apply our sensibilities to what they do is futile. Just sit back and enjoy...

just think of what our armed forces would do to an enemy naval fleet at dock in a harbor

wouldnt be much left, and they probably wouldnt even hear or see our aircraft

in a harbor?? It really doesnt matter where they are, there are few militaries who can put up a direct fight against the US and last very long.

at pearl harbor they only took down one main Ship the U.s.s Arizona which was part of the iowa class which was the battleships of the pacific and then i think the Mississippi took part in the gulf war with. the Iowa Class had the U.s.s Iowa, U.s.s. New Jersey, U.s.s Wisconis, U.s.s. Missouri, U.s.s. Mississippi, U.s.s. Arizona and only one was sunk in which those 6 battleships are consider americas greatest.

The USS Arizona was not an Iowa class battleship. It was a Pennsylvania class Battleship, commissioned in 1916. The Iowa class did not exist prior to 1943. The USS Oklahoma was also sunk at Pearl Harbor, and floated and stipped of her guns, then sunk on the way to Oakland. The USS California and USS West Virginia were both sunk, then refloated and put back into service. The USS Utah, by then a training ship, was sunk and remains partiall submerged at Pearl Harbor to this day, a less famous memorial than the Arizona.
