i took some pictures with my digi cam, they are about 800k each and my webhost doesn't like that, is there anyway i could make the pictures size smaller without removing parts of the picture?

Yeah..depending the size of the image, take it to photoshop and resize the image. Save it as a jpg and make the compression medium.

You can also do it in paint..........

Right click on it, go to "open with" go to "Paint"........at the top menu go to "Image" got to strech/skew.......go to "strech" adjust the horizontal to a smaller number than 100 & same with vertical.

save pic & where u saved it go there & right click properties & check that the size in kb is under what u want. If it isnt then you can re adjust by doing the above again.

its a good hint to save as something else first cos sometimes you only need to adjust a small amount & it can make the pic real small from only adjusting down to 99%

well first of all do you have any programs like adobe photoshop or the like? if not on your camara set your settings to 640*480 and those should be fine almost anywhere... infact i usually run 1600*1200 for quality then i shrink the pics down to 600*400. but if you dont want to waste to much time just set your camara to 640*480
