    I hope that wasn't your telescope Tom...

    I heard on the news earlier today that some $100mil telescope was damaged by some storm in Arizona. Sounded like it was lightning or something to that effect. Can't seem to find any news about it on the net, but if anyone can come up with anything, let me know.

    What I read this morning is that it is being threatened by a wild Fire out there.

      yes...
      well regardless if it was tom's or not...a loss of such a powerful telescope would probably harm science and its progress..i hope it survives the threat of the fire.

            The powers of mother nature will never be conquered. And I didnt know Tom had 100mil for a telescope. That seems like a little much.
