Was this second hard drive with the os on it originally installed in the same machine? If not XP will probably have a fit over the new hardware.

Negative. When you install and OS it coordinates with your Bios and The Computer in which you installed... You will be able to put it in your computer and get files off it, AS LONG AS THERES NOT ADMIN PASSWORD ON IT. So bassically your screwed =/ Sorry man, theres nothing you can do to make that HD work on your computer. UNLESS you installed the OS on that computer...

Well its pointless to pull t he programs... Because if u installed them you prolly have the disk. But heres the prob with XP. If you install it on computer A, and make the password like "blah". You cant stick it in computer "B" and it work, because its password protected, and will only ask you for the password on computer "A" The only way i know of to get around XP's Password security system is through a Linux type deal called Noppix.
